JoAnn McClure, age 84, of The Woodlands, Texas, went to her forever home in heaven on October 14, 2016. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 10, 1931 to parents, Robert N. and Elizabeth Allyn. She graduated from Omaha Tech High School. On April 1, 1950, she married Raymond L. November 10, 1931 - October 14, 2016

JoAnn McClure, age 84, of The Woodlands, Texas, went to her forever home in heaven on October 14, 2016. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 10, 1931 to parents, Robert N. and Elizabeth Allyn. She graduated from Omaha Tech High School. On April 1, 1950, she married Raymond L. McClure, Sr. She was an accounting clerk in the mortgage loan department for Couch Mortgage Company in Houston, Texas, before suffering a brain aneurysm at age 32 which left her paralyzed on the left side of her body. She overcame the paralysis and continued to live a full and joyful life and never considered herself handicapped. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and had a passion for helping and encouraging other people. She always enjoyed watching and cheering for Houston's professional sports teams.

She is survived by her son, Raymond L. McClure, Jr., (and his wife, Rita McClure) of The Woodlands, Texas; her sister, Mary Welcer of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and sister, Betty Schooler of Lincoln, Nebraska. She has many nieces and nephews.

JoAnn's Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, at 11:00 am at Forest Park Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.
