Joyce Daugherty, 87, of Conroe, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017. She had lived at Park Manor in Conroe for three years.

She was born in Monroe, Louisiana on May 23, 1929. Joyce received her GED at the age of 50. She was married to Howard Daugherty for 26 years. Joyce had a career as a meat wrapper for grocery stores such as A&P and Weingartens.

She was a member of the American Legion. She had a passion for playing bingo, shopping, watching Astros baseball and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren...

She was born in Monroe, Louisiana on May 23, 1929. Joyce received her GED at the age of 50. She was married to Howard Daugherty for 26 years. Joyce had a career as a meat wrapper for grocery stores such as A&P and Weingartens.

She was a member of the American Legion. She had a passion for playing bingo, shopping, watching Astros baseball and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. Grandma Joyce was the heart of the family and she will be dearly missed.

Joyce was preceded in death by eleven of her siblings, and a granddaughter, Melissa Trotter.

She was survived by her son, James Daugherty; daughter, Sandy Trotter, husband Charles Trotter, Jr.; grandchildren, Kim Falco, husband Tim Falco, Bryan Trotter, wife Kandy Trotter, Jami King, husband Nick King; and great-grandchildren, Karson, Kandon and Karly Trotter, Conner Peters and Sawyer King. Grandma Joyce's love for her family also includes many additional honorary grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384 followed by a funeral service and interment at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
